They conduct their research in the following laboratories :
- LGCB (Chemical and Biological Engineering Laboratory)
- LASMEA (Automatics and Electronics Materials Sciences Laboratory UMR CNRS) (Matelec group, materials for electronics)
- Corpuscular Physics Laboratory. (LPC - I.N.2.P.3).
These four laboratories of Blaise Pascal University provide the indispensable support for the training in electronics,
optics, materials, process command, control (materials for electronics, polymer and composite materials, metallurgy)
and chemical engineering.
Furthermore,
Genmat, (Technical center for technology transfer) thanks to its
efficient equipment (financed by a FEDER programme and University) is used for industrial promotion programmes in the
framework of initial training or continuing education.
As for the other departments of Polytech'Clermont-Ferrand, the Engineering Physics have the possibllity of completing a
double degree during the final year of study :
- Master of Physics at the Blaise Pascal University (on campus)
- Master of Science at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, USA)
It gives them opportunities for Research positions both in the public and the private sector.
